Landmark Muhammad Ali Training Camp Sold

Congratulations to Kimberly Raifsnider, a sales associate with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Kutztown for her recent sale of the renowned Butterfly and Bee Bed and Breakfast, the training camp made famous by beloved boxer Muhammad Ali and world-renowned martial arts expert George Dillman. The property was purchased by Mike Madden for $520,000. Kimberly represented the seller.

The camp was built in 1972 by Muhammad Ali and includes 18 buildings, including a gym, kitchen hall, chalet with horse stables, a two-bedroom house, Muhammad Ali’s former three bedroom house, and 10 cabins, all made from hardwood logs. The camp is situated on 5 acres on secluded Sculpshill Mountain, just off Route 61 North, in Deer Lake, Pa.

The training camp was purchased in 1997 by Dillman and celebrated karate instructor Kim Foreman and was totally refurbished as the Butterfly & Bee Bed & Breakfast. The property has hosted numerous celebrities over the years including Sylvester Stallone, Howard Cosell, Sammy Davis Jr. and Sr., and Frank Sinatra, to name a few.
